Anthropic’s official skill for original visual direction and interface design decisions
Anthropic’s official skill teaches you to make original color palette, typography, layout, and content decisions based on the brief’s subject and target audience. Before writing code, it asks you to review the plan against “default patterns” and explicitly identify recurring signs of AI design, such as cream-and-serif backgrounds, generic SaaS cards, unnecessary overlines, and fade-ins everywhere. It’s concise, readable, and requires no external services.
Clarifying the visual direction for a new interface before building it; use it as a strategic layer alongside Impeccable or Taste.
It doesn’t measure in the browser, QA screenshots, or run lint. Some community users say it doesn’t deliver the expected results on its own; don’t expect miracles without a good brief and visual review [11].
